National Ag Literacy Week Book Donations

The Casey County Farm Bureau Federation Women's Committee donated non-fiction books to be placed in all school libraries in honor of National Ag Literacy Week.

Morgan Crowe Accepted Into Gatton Academy


Morgan Crowe was just honored with being accepted into the Gatton Academy at Western Kentucky University! She will spend her senior year of high school completing her high school degree at Western Kentucky University while earning college credits simultaneously! Completion of this program will also provide her scholarship money to finish her college education at Western Kentucky University once she graduates Gatton Academy. Morgan worked tirelessly to earn her way into the Gatton Academy, we are so proud of her!

CCHS Engineering Team Presents to Teachers at Baltimore


Christopher Thacker and Dylan Carman, along with their Engineering instructor, Steve Code, traveled to Baltimore with Gear Up to present at the National Texas Instrument Conference. The Casey County High School Engineering team presented to teachers from all over the nation and did an excellent job instructing them on how to utilize the Texas Instrument rover equipment in their classrooms to teach coding in a real-life, hands-on way.  

Casey County Bank Donates to CCMS Academic Team for State Competition

The Casey County Middle School Academic Team has qualified for Governor's Cup State competition for the 2nd year in a row. Last year they were runners up at the district level and again at the regional level.  This year, they were District 47 1st Place, and Region 12 1st Place. Last year was the first year that Casey County Middle School had qualified for State in school history. The state competition is March 16-18 at the Gault House in Louisville. The Quick recall team will be competing at State and 4 of the individual students will also be competing in 5 individual events.  

The Casey County Middle School team is coached by Jeremy Costello and Amanda White.

The Casey County Bank was generous enough to donate $1500 to help cover expenses with their hotel room and fees. Last year The Casey County bank also donated $1500 as well.

Kindergarten and Preschool registration for the 2019-2020 school year is scheduled for the week of April 8th – 12th at your local elementary school.

Magy Cunningham Receives Scholarship for Berea

Magy Cunningham received the Carter G. Woodson Legacy Scholarship for Berea College.
